This Zwarte Piet is wearing my running shoes again and all of my long dark-blonde hair fitted under the red hat. Also note the black gloves made of latex, I especially bought to be able to play Sinterklaas songs on my guitar – with black hands.
But most of all, look at the cute little big girl who just got her own little kitchen. My cousin Valesca is almost three and this was her third Sinterklaas eve. After the gift bringers left, and had a shower upstairs, we rang the doorbell again and she told me about the big event.
Clever as she is, she did notice my just washed wet hair, but even though it was a bit messy she concluded it must’ve been snowing some more outside. We then went on to make a drawing together with her new crayons. I’m already looking forward to see how she’ll like it next year.
