They had cameras too!

Three strange men picked me up from school, asked me a lot of questions and then took me to the forest. Oh and they had cameras too. That sums up the other day in 140 characters. I have had a mad few weeks actually, but all filled with good stuff. These three guys, who rearranged my flat too, were actually the lovely crew from VPRO’s documentary ‘Tegenlicht’. And they followed me to portray what the everyday life of a famous discoverer looks like.

This included a visit to my school. After which I decided to have cameras in class more often; my students found it so cool they were the most well-behaved pupils ever. At home I was interviewed twice: both in Dutch and in English. The shots in the forest were done near the science centre and in between me walking around in the snow, I learned about making a documentary properly. It was another fun experience (thanks guys)!

I’m told the results will be aired on Monday 1 April (no, not a joke), 20.55 on channel NED2.

Just seen this, I’ll try & watch it on TV, if I can find it. Seen the certificate as well, well done, I think we have similar ones here, in the UK.

Oh yeah, if you have the channel.. must remember to announce this closer to date! As for the certificate; you don’t have something like this. ;)

Regarding the certificate, I think as a teacher in the UK, you do have to have a teaching certificate.

Travelling on the London Underground, last weekend, I did see a lot of adverts, for Maths/Physics graduates to go into teaching.

Yes John, you do. This is not that though. I explained it here: http://hannysvoorwerp.com/?p=3847 and there’s a link to the wiki page on the propaedeutic certificate too. ;)

I think the time of the program changed, in my program guide it says 22.15h, Nederland 2. Hanny, is that correct?

Yes that is correct! They changed it indeed to 22.15 (Dutch time zone). I’ll announce it more properly. Thanks for the reminder Arie. ;)
