Update

Yes, it’s been a while. Today it’s already a month ago since I turned 27 and there’s only two-and-a-half-weeks left of this (school) year. Time for a quick update.

First of all, I had a lovely birthday. I spent it with new, old and new-old friends on my balcony, with pizzas from the barbecue and some guitars.

Voorwerp-wise I’ve been busy too. Just this week I did an interview for Radio 1 (national station here), for which I recorded a song as well. It’ll be broadcasted in September; I’ll announce it on Twitter then. I also spoke to a reporter from ‘Word of Mouth’ – a radio show in New Hampshire, USA. They aired it a few hours after the phone call and you can still listen to it on their website. Then there was also the official opening of the LOw Frequency ARray by Queen Beatrix and I did another lecture on Galaxy Zoo. I expect to post pictures of both events soon.

Besides all that, I was doing chemistry experiments with my classes and a-hundred-and-one other things (I like). We also had our yearly school trip and currently we’re preparing for the open stage afternoon with all of our students. Speaking of which, one third year boy drew me (and a colleague) on the white board the other day. Obviously, I’m the left one, in the spacesuit with guitar – thanks Lars!

So, I’m still here enjoying life and I’ll be back soon to show-and-tell more about it. It’ll be when I answer all those e-mails I haven’t yet. But ciao for now!
