If you’ve been here more often, you probably know I started this website to have all the Hanny’s Voorwerp info in one place, to show how (not so) glam my life is since discovering it and to answer all the questions interested readers send to me. While I’m here, I also made a ‘pictures’ category and I’ve been showing stuff I took seasonally. Because I like it.
Now a while ago, I read about Project 365 and thought it was just my thing: take a picture on every day of a year. I already do take pictures on a daily basis. And I’ve had nice comments on them, from people who know what they’re talking about even. This is not me boasting about my pictures though. In fact, they’re taken with an iPhone. Not an actual camera. I also don’t know much about the techniques of taking pictures. I just like to preserve ALL the memories and sometimes they turn out looking nice in 2D.
So I waited for the lucky year to start, 2013, and I’ve been keeping pictures since then. Rules: they have to be taken with my phone, mostly by myself, and I’m not going to fiddle too much with them in Photoshop (if at all, although I did try some things). I’ll upload a batch of approximately thirty every month, so I’ll have my Very Own Picture Diary on the net at the end of the year. Girl, it’s April! Yeah, it took me a while to find a good-enough place to upload them.. But now I have; so here they are.
JANUARY can be summarised as a great start. The New Year was welcomed with The BoRhap, dancing on a table and sleeping on a sofa. And not much else. I had to focus on finishing a final project for my course, while work started again as well. Living the life of three people at once and therefore feeling chronically knackered, means I sometimes recharge with The Cat not minding that. And I’ve had my first cocktail. There was also a river I just had to cross and what’s the point of having a tub without duckies. Rowing is still my Old Year’s Resolution and I tried to fight throat-hurt with ice cream. I also picked up the music sessions with my guitar buddy and I learned I can go to work without brushing my hair more often. My favourite day was probably when on stage for Spacetacular in London, but I’ve had nice boring days of watching a DVD with a cuppa as well. Bring on February!
