If you’re ‘following’ me here since last year, you’ve already heard of our Saint Nicholas tradition, as I published a photo of me and my cousin Valesca back then. I love this time of year.
So we did it again. It was Valesca’s second and she needed a little more time to get used to the dark face. Singing songs together broke the ice though. In the picture – taken by my uncle, Cor van Arkel – you see the evidence of that with me on the left, Valesca (who’s now walking, has curly hair, but is still cute as ever), her mum / my aunt and my dad being Help-Sint on the right.
It was an exciting and exhausting day. Here’s to next time!

I think that this time of year is the best. Gifts, good mood and good times. I love this time of year because i have 2 nephews and they are great. Plus, i get a lot of gifts. I hope you have the best holidays.
